Ghanaian blogger Kobby Kyei has disclosed how Reggae/Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy supported him to acquire his first car in 2020.
The blogger shared this while speaking to Nana Ama McBrown on the Onua Showtime on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
According to him, he first met Stonebwoy in 2020 on set of a music video shoot after he was called by one artiste to help with behind-the-scenes videos.
Kobby Kyei recounted that his encounter with Stonebwoy was a blessing after the latter had praised his works and urged him to keep up his good works.
The blogger said during conversation with the ‘Overlord’ hitmaker, he revealed his vision to support underprivileged children in villages.
He stated that Stonebwoy after a few interaction with him via phone call, decided to support his works and transferred a sum of money to him.
Kobby Kyei further explained that he used the money in addition with his savings to purchase his first car to aid his philanthropy works.
“The person who helped me acquire my first car is Stonebwoy. I have not said it anywhere before. In 2020, he was shooting a music video and one artiste called me to come and shoot behind the scenes videos, that was the first time I met him one-on-one.
“He called me aside and praised my blogging style, he encouraged me to keep it up and I will go international so the things happening in my career, Stonebwoy had prophesied about it long ago.
“We exchanged contacts, when I got home, he called me and we spoke for an hour in 2020. I told him about my vision to help underprivileged kids in the hinterlands. He asked for my mobile money number and few minutes later I received an alert and I bought a car,” Kobby Kyei narrated.
