Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale has called on Ghanaians to issue an apology to former President John Mahama for voting against him in the 2020 elections.
In a video circulating on social media, the ‘Mahama Paper’ hitmaker criticised Ghanaians for lamenting about the hardships in the country, stressing that they voted out Mahama because they “didn’t like Mahama.”
According to him, Ghanaians including himself benefitted under the leadership of the former President.
Shatta Wale emphasized the respectful connection that John Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim, maintained with Ghanaian musicians.
“All of you, you have to go and beg Mahama. Because when he was in power, the benefits I received anybody can say I have endorsed Mahama, I don’t care. His brother, Ibrahim Mahama even cherishes creatives.
“You people have option to chose and its Maham you want but because of shame, you have disappointed yourselves and disappointed Mahama. Ghanaians chose Akufo-Addo because you said you don’t like Mahama, now when Akufo-Addo came to power you see what is happening in the country,” he tweeted.
