Reggae Dancehall musician , Stonebwoy has joined in the fight against illegal mining also known as Galamsey which is wrecking havoc to the country’s water bodies.
The calls for an end to galamsey has resurfaced in the past few days with many criticising government for failing to take action against the menace.
In a recent post on X amid a 3-day protest against galamsey, the ‘Run Go’ hitmaker said the blood and sweat of the protesters shall not be in vain as they fight for an end to galamsey.
Stonebwoy further urged government both current and future to provide a holistic approach in tackling the menace.
“As we touch the streets to advocate for the better.. As we walk in the spirit footsteps of the Great ancestors that led us to freedom once upon a time. May our blood sweat and tears not remain vain… So we implore Gov’t or leadership ( incoming or outgoing ) to Just validate our struggles by showing detailed plans on how to tackle the very pressing issues, such as “GALAMSEY” that face us as Ghanaians and RIGIDLY COMMIT to it,” he tweeted on October 3.
“Not forgetting the deplorable state of the Korle-Bu mortuary, amongst many others,” he added.
