The long-standing contention between Nigerian afrobeats artistes David Adeleke, better known as Davido, and Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has resurfaced.
The latest argument erupted on Tuesday after Davido teased fans with a snippet of his upcoming single for 2024.
Coincidentally, Wizkid was preparing to also release the first track of his much-anticipated “Morayo” album.
However, the spat escalated when Davido’s associate, Kayode Yajaur, known as Black Tycoone tweeted “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already,” a post which seemingly appeared to mock Wizkid.

Wizkid, unfazed by the comment, took to X (formerly Twitter) to throw shade at Davido’s camp, writing, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” followed by, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!”

While he did not mention Davido’s name in his post, fans were quick to interpret the post as a jab at the ‘Unavailable’ singer.
A fan further accused Wizkid of clout-chasing to draw attention to his yet to be released song tweeting, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?”
Wizkid replied the fan denying that he was clout-chasing and ‘rubbished’ Davido’s talent.
“I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!” he fired back.

Wizkid continued his rants calling Davido’s albums “trash” and boasting about his own better musical productions.
“80 trash! We got 80 albums for any song y’all drop! P***y boys!” he added
Despite Wizkid’s comment, Davido has remained silent, choosing not to engage publicly in the ongoing feud.
