YouTuber Kwadwo Sheldon has responded to the National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo who demanded him to provide proof of invitation to the party’s Bukom Town hall meeting on August 12.
In a tweet on August 15 shortly after Opare Addo’s interview went viral, Sheldon shared screenshot of a WhatsApp message and a call recording between himself and the NDC national Youth Organiser.
He maintained his stance insisting that he did not lie about the invitation and was contacted to be given pre-determined questions to ask John Mahama.
“There is no problem in even planting questions for people to ask your candidate, it is done everywhere, even the NPP does it…This is normal thing people do but don’t come and tell me I was lying.
“I am not going to lie on your name for anything, I don’t even know you. You were the one that contacted me because you know what my platform can do that is why you contacted me,” he said on an X space on Thursday, August 15.

The NDC on Monday, August 12 held a town hall meeting at the Bukom boxing arena where its flagbearer, John Mahama interacted with Ghanaians and responded to some questions.
A day after, Kwadwo Sheldon who has publicly declared his support for the NPP tweeted that he received invitation from the NDC to be present at the town hall meeting where he will be given a prepared questions to ask John Mahama.
This was our first conversation where I agreed to cover the UPSA even in the morning and avail myself in the evening for the QnAs… why would I send a rep to come for the morning one and not come the evening one where I would be given the chance to ask the former president… pic.twitter.com/7x7Rt9ouyA

But he denied the request and insisted he will only be present at the meeting of he is allowed to ask his own questions.
“You know what be funny about this? They invited me for the Bukom thing on condition that they will give me the question to ask JDM..said it’s either my personal questions or nah.. be like they weren’t interested in that so I played FIFA,” he tweeted on August 13.
However, George Opare Addo refuted claims by YouTuber, Kwadwo Sheldon that the party invited him for the town hall meeting at the Bukom boxing arena with pre-determined questions to ask the NDC’s flagbearer.
In a video shared on X, George Opare Addo explained that Kwadwo Sheldon was never invited to the town hall meeting.
Kwadwo Sheldon was not invited for Bukom arena town hall meeting – NDC’s National Youth Organizer
He clarified that the YouTuber and his team were only invited for coverage of the NDC’s Youth manifesto launch at the UPSA auditorium and not the town hall meeting held at Bukom boxing arena.
“We sent invitation to all bloggers and social media influencers to come and cover…we wanted all of them to come and use their space to cover. Kwadwo Sheldon’s invitation was to come and cover the UPSA programme and I challenge him to put out any invitation he has which suggest he should come and cover the town hall meeting.
“His people came and cover the Youth manifesto launch so I don’t know where this noise is coming from. He did not have any invitation for the afternoon programme [the townhall meeting]…nobody told him to come and ask questions,” George Opare Addo stated.
