Vote counting is underway after 1,081 delegates cast their votes in the parliamentary primary held by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejisu Constituency.
The election became necessary due to the demise of the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Dr John Kumah. Dr Kumah died aged 45 after short illness.
The delegates had to choose from nine contenders, namely; Kwasi Nyantakyi, Kwabena Boateng, Dr Evans Duah, Klinsman Karikari Mensah, Helena Mensah, Abena Pokuaa Boaitey, Portia Acheampong Abronye, Aaron Prince Duah and Maame Yaa Aboagye.

Indications being picked up by 3news is that the race is looking favourable for Lawyer Kwabena Boateng.
