Kylian Mbappe says he is prepared to compete at the highest level in PSG’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash with Barcelona on Wednesday night at the Parc Des Princes.
The 25-year-old scored four goals when both sides last met in the Champions League in 2021, and with 41 goal contributions so far to his name this season for PSG, Mbappe will be the main target in attack for the hosts in the first leg.
“The tie against Barça? The time has come for the great players and I am prepared for it. As usual, I’m not going to hide”, he told Spanish media outlet Relevo.
Rising to the occasion and showing up on the big stage is all Mbappe is made of, and ahead of a possible exit from Paris after seven seasons, the Frenchman will look to entrench himself against the Catalan side.

Mbappe has 45 goals and 16 assists in all competitions for club and country across 47 games this season, and should PSG edge Barcelona in the tie, the 25-year-old will not just have his eyes set upon the famous UEFA Champions League title, but also the Ballon d’Or award.
PSG will host Barcelona at the Parc Des Princes on Wednesday, 10th April, and familiar faces like Ousmane Dembele, Luis Enrique, and Xavi Hernandez will all be looking to play their part for their clubs, yet Mbappe will surely be the main man who could grab the headlines come the end of the game.
