There was drama in Parliament on Friday when the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency brought in a gas cylinder for analysis in his submission to the debate on the 2018 budget statement.
The Minority was alarmed about the MP’s action since the cylinder could have contained Liquified Petroleum Gas, LPG.
George Duker stoked controversy when he used the gas cylinder in his demonstration of the LPG recycling module.
But the Deputy Minority Leader, James Kluste Avedzi, said his behaviour was unparliamentary and questioned how the MP managed to sneak the cylinder into the House.
The Majority Leader, however, did not see anything wrong with the action of the MP.
But the other side would not budge.
It took the intervention of the Speaker of Parliament, Aaron Mike Oquaye, to call the House to order.
