The facility which is the first of its kind in Ghana would be managed by Gundaa Produce Company (GPC), a Tamale-based community maize aggregator, and would serve small holder farmers in Diare, Tamalegu, Shelinlanyili, Kpatinga, Gaa and Kpugi in the Tamale Metropolis.
Mr Iddrisu said the policy will defined the parameters by which the mining and other corporate entities operates to improve the livelihoods of people within its catchment area.
A statement signed by the Director Public Relations, Lieutenant Commander M.A Larbi, said qualification and entry requirements have been advertised in the Ghanaian Times and Daily Graphic with effect from Wednesday, March 13, 2013 and on the Ghana Armed Forces website at www.gaf.mil.gh.
The four year action plan which was formulated in the year 2010 and ends in 2014, is expected to enhance the decentralization process, and deal with any lapses the process might encounter.
He said this on Wednesday during the launch of the Ghana Social Development Outlook 2012 report by the Institute of Statistical Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana.
