A 36-year old woman, Felicia Asamoah from Kumasi has been arrested at the Ankaful Maximum Security Prison in Cape Coast for attempting to smuggle a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp to an inmate. The Accra High Court has ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP ) to reinstate DSP Gifty Tehoda, who was dismissed in the cocaine turn baking soda saga in 2011. The court, presided over by Mrs Justice Ayisi Addo, held that DSP Tehoda's dismissal was in breach of natural justice and her right to fair trial. The court also awarded GHc 10, 000 compensation for her dismissal and Ghc 5, 000 for her detention in BNI custody for 45 days.
