Ecobank Ghana is to kick start a campaign that will complement the government’s efforts to promote a cashless economy, through its new product, Ecobank MasterPass Quick Response (QR) code.
Government has given clearance for the recruitment of nurses and other health professionals who were granted financial clearance in December 2016. All regional directors of health have therefore been directed to begin the process of recruiting the professionals in line with their respective regional ceilings. The recruitment exercise for the over 8000 health workers was halted in February over concerns regarding the financial clearance.
The government is banking its hopes on the Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) and the Sankofa-Gye-Nyame oil fields to achieve its growth target of 6.3 per cent this year.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reiterated the government’s resolve to strengthen the private sector and build a Ghana beyond aid to engineer social and economic growth. He has also assured investors that neither his government nor his appointees are in office to compete with the private sector for business opportunities.

The Acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Mr. Joe Anokye, has charged Mobile Network Operators to work on improving Quality of Service (QoS) and ensure that consumers are satisfied.
