Assembly members in Kumasi have threatened to stage a massive demonstration against insecurity in the Ashanti Region following recorded series of robbery and murder cases within the year.

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has honoured the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, by presenting to him a special batakari during the 61st Annual Maulid Celebration to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Fadama on Saturday, 8th December, 2018.

The head of the Weija Leprosarium and arguably the face of efforts to provide care to persons afflicted by leprosy, Rev Fr Andrew Campbell, has showered praise on the Vice President of the Republic, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his well-publicised efforts at fighting the stigma faced by cured lepers.
