I can count dozens of former military officers, technocrats, and elite from academia who hailed from the three Northern regions of Ghana, and who made money from crop farming in the 70s, 80 and mid 90s. I can also cite politicians from those regions who took advantage of the Tono, Vea and Pwalugu irrigation facilities to improve substantially, their living conditions - even as absentee farmers. The Ashanti Regional Police Anti-Human Trafficking Unit has arrested a 44-year-old woman, Cecilia Annor, at Ayefro, and two of her accomplices in connection with a baby boy suspected to have been stolen.
