Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi says his side are focused solely on reaching the FIFA World Cup semi-finals and are not driven by thoughts of revenge ahead of Thursday's quarter-final against France.
The two nations meet again in the last eight, four years after France ended Morocco's historic run in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
Despite the painful memories of that defeat, Ouahbi insists the past will have no bearing on his team's approach.
"Whoever the opponent is, our goal remains the same: to reach the semi-finals. So, we will focus on ourselves," he said.
"There is no revenge. We only want to continue our journey."
Morocco have once again impressed on the world stage, reaching the quarter-finals through disciplined defending and resilient performances.
The Atlas Lions now face one of the tournament favourites in France, led by star forward Kylian Mbappé.
Ouahbi believes his side's best chance of success lies in concentrating on their own game rather than dwelling on previous meetings.
Victory would send Morocco into a second successive World Cup semi-final and keep alive hopes of becoming the first African nation to win the tournament. France, meanwhile, will be aiming to reach the last four and continue their pursuit of another world title.
