Port City attacker Korblah Junior Kedzie has set his sights on a move to Europe following a standout Division One League campaign.
The prolific forward has been in outstanding form for the Kukurantumi-based side, scoring 15 goals with three matches remaining to end the campaign. His performances have played a key role in Port City’s successful promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking after the match, the in-form striker made it clear that while he appreciates his current progress, his long-term ambition lies beyond Ghana’s domestic football.
“I don’t mean to undermine the Ghana Premier League, but as a footballer, my ambition is to play in one of the top leagues in Europe. If I get the opportunity to move abroad, I’ll take it. If I have to stay and play in the Ghana Premier League, I’m also happy, especially since we have qualified for the league. The most important thing for me is to stay focused and keep improving,” he said.
His rapid rise has not gone unnoticed at national level. Kedzie was recently included in the Black Galaxies squad for friendly matches against Heart of Lions and Aduana FC, where he impressed further by scoring a brace against Lions.
His performance drew attention from scouts and members of the Black Stars technical team in attendance, strengthening his growing reputation.
With momentum firmly on his side, Kedzie now heads into the final stretch of the season as one of the league’s standout performers, while also positioning himself as one of Ghana’s most promising young forwards with European ambitions firmly in sight.
