Veteran sports journalist Kwabena Yeboah believes Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Mali tonight will be challenging, as Mali is a strong team and Ghana is still in a transitional phase.
Currently in fifth place in Group I, the Black Stars need a win against Mali to climb up the table.
“This is a team in transition. And it is going to be very tough. As soon as the draw was made, every Ghanaian knew that Mali were the favourites in this group but it is turning out to be a very different ball game.
“Not many gave Comoros a chance but they have proven that they can top the group, I mean they beat us 1-0 in the first leg.

“And everyone knows the pedigree of Mali, very very talented team so I must say for me enter the game as the underdogs no disrespect the team and as a team in transition, who have lost a number of seasoned materials, so speaking from a professional perspective then i will say it is going to be a tough game,” Kwabena Yeboah added.
Ghana hold a good record against Mali in the World Cup qualifiers, with two wins out of two and the team will be hoping to get another win over Mali tonight at the Stade du 26 Mars stadium.
With Ghana chasing their first win in 2014, the clash against Mali is pivotal in their aim to bounce back.
