Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito believes the FA Cup is the moment his team needs to correct their poor run in the Ghana Premier League.
After four league games without a win, the Porcupine Warriors are searching for a fresh start.
Kotoko have taken only two points from their last four matches, losing twice and drawing twice. They have scored just three goals and conceded five during this tough spell. The results have slowed their league push, leaving them fifth on the table and five points behind leaders Medeama Sporting Club.
Karim Zito admits the team is going through a difficult phase but remains hopeful that things can change, beginning with their MTN FA Cup Round of 64 game against Future Stars FC.
"So with the FA you only have one chance to play before the next chance unlike the league it is a marathon you can drop below and then climb up or you are in the middle the come and be first," he told Asante Kotoko TV
'The end justifies the means so I think this is a bigger opportunity for us to make amendments for people for us to prove that maybe it's a moment we have entered not that we are cant play football. We can improve upon it and make amendments. So we start by fighting very hard to eliminate in the future. I know it will be difficult but not above Asante Kotoko."
The match will be played on Wednesday, December 10, at Okese Park at 3 pm.
