Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has assured supporters of the team’s resolve to go all out to defeat Future Stars FC in their MTN FA Cup Round 64 tie on Wednesday.
The Premier League giants will begin their defence of the FA Cup in midweek, taking on a lower-division side at Okese Park in Ejisu.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Abdul Karim Zito admitted his team’s poor form in the Ghana Premier League, stressing that it is important to put up a good performance to knock out Future Stars FC.
“This is a bigger opportunity for us to make an amendment and prove that we can turn things around. We start by fighting very hard to eliminate Future Stars. I know it will be difficult, but it’s not above Asante Kotoko. Our motivation is that we want to turn things around. We have to come all out and win this game to at least put a little smile on the face of our supporters,” Karim Zito told AKSC Media.
The MTN FA Cup Round 64 tie between Future Stars FC and Asante Kotoko is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm at Okese Park on Wednesday, December 10.
