Hohoe United head coach Abdul Rahim Tijani has praised his players for giving their all to secure victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
In the Week 13 fixture played at Hohoe Sports Stadium, a stunning free-kick goal by William Oduro sealed a 1-0 win for the hosts, ensuring the team bagged all three points at the end of the contest.
Speaking after the match, Coach Abdul Rahim Tijani shared his delight, insisting that the hard work of his players paid off.
“First, we have to congratulate the boys. They did so well. All want to say is hard work pays. We really worked for this. We watched the previous games they played, and I told my boys we should go all out because that can let us survive or achieve our target. The game plan worked so well for us,” the Hohoe United coach said.
Sunday’s triumph over Asante Kotoko has pushed Hohoe United to eighth in the Ghana Premier League standings.
Up next for the team, they will take on Berekum Chelsea during Week 14.
