Ladies from the Prison Service, the Police and the Fire Service in the Ashanti region have been crowned winners of Ultimate fm’s maiden security-ladies and security-wives Cook-Fest.
It was a battle of tasty fingers which brought together the female regiments of the Armed Forces, the Police Service, Fire service, Immigration and the Prisons Service.

The Side attractions which created a room for bonding among the women were Dancing, Singing and Modeling competitions.
In the end, the contest was reduced to taste, hygiene, process, creativity and presentation.
The Police Officers’ Wives; the Prisons Ladies and the Fire Officers Wives carried the day.
Speaking to Ultimate News, the winners of the day were elated at the opportunity to unite as the female front of the security services in the Ashanti Region.
A rep from the police ASP Mary Safo Kwarteng popularly known within her circles as Authentic Mama One, told Ultimate News: “We are glad this event has brought together all the ladies in the security service and their wives together and they should all know that there will always be losers and winners in every competition but the unity and fun should carry on.
President of the Prison Ladies Association, Assistant Director of Prisons Juana Taki-Otu was confident their efforts of holding some rehearsals with an earlier cook fest among the prison ladies and prison wives association paid off in gaining them the victory.
Even the losing team were not left out of the after – competition celebrations.
“We the army women, we cooked Waakye and next time we are going to prepare ourselves very well before we come for the competition,” a rep from the army wives association Janet Opoku said.
“We don’t know what happened but we will congratulate the winners for the effort,” An army lady Staff Sergeant Ivy Akwah stated promising that the military ladies will take over the competition next year.
Events Marketing and Brands Manager Nana Benyin Anumel noted that this event would begin featuring strongly in Ultimate FM’s arsenals of huge outdoor programs.
“If there was any other word I could use, it will be mind blowing because the participation from the ladies, the enthusiasm, and the fact that they all came together in unison for this project to work marvelously was just amazing,” Nana Benyin stated.
Well in the End the threats came in. The military ladies promised to reorganize and return to give staff of Ultimate FM the beating of our lives as payback for their low points.
The immigration ladies also took a decision not to issue passport clearance to any staff of Abusua and Ultimate FM following their failure to sweep the highest awards.
The fire ladies issued a directive for the station to rather call the police women should there be any fire outbreak on our premises accusing the police of bribing their way through.
But it was all part of the fun that crowned the whole event.
