The body of the drowned student of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) Sarah Kwarteng has been found in Cape Coast.
The body was washed ashore Sunday afternoon at the beach line between Cape Coast and Elmina in the Central Region adjacent the University of Cape Coast (UCC) West Gate.
Sarah Kwarteng was among 5 others who got drowned last Thursday when they were taking photoshoot at the Oasis Beach near the Cape Coast Castle in the evening as part of the University Students of Ghana (USAG) and National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) week celebration hosted by the University of Cape Coast.
An increase in the tidal waves at the seaside is said to have swept them off the shore thereby drowning in the process.
A timely intervention of some local fishermen in the area led to the rescue of 4 of them with one dying on arrival at the University of Cape Coast Hospital.
