Two people are in critical control after an articulated truck loaded with cement lost control and rammed into a building at Asenua in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti region.
A man believed to be in his 60s who was sitting in front of the house including the driver of the articulated truck sustained degrees of injuries after the incident.
An eyewitness Adwoa Mensah speaking to Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo said the incident occurred when the articulator driver with registration number GT 9083-17 driving with top speed failed brake and run into the building.
According to Adwoa Mensah, the articulator destroyed several properties including hair a salon container.
She added that it took the intervention of the Police personnel and community members to remove the man from the truck after the incident.
The man and the driver who sustained severe injuries are receiving treatment at the Mamponteng government hospital.
However, Asenua residents appealed to the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), for urgent construction of speed ramps to help address the worrying frequent vehicular accidents.
