The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has called on the public to disregard information speculating on social media that a fake Malta Guinness is on sale on Ghanaian market.
The FDA indicated that both products have been duly registered by the FDA and are genuine products.
‘Furthermore, the general public is to note that one of the products is imported from Nigeria by Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, whiles the other is from Togo and was imported by Addra Sari Limited,’ the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mrs Delese A.A Darko.
The FDA assured the public that it remains committed to ensuring the protection of public health and safety.

Dear Sir/Madam,
PRESS RELEASE: NO FAKE MALTA GUINNESS ON THE GHANAIAN MARKET
The attention of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has been drawn to an article in circulation on social media of two brands of Malta Guinness one of which is purported to be fake.
The FDA wishes to inform the general public that both products have been duly registered by the FDA and are therefore genuine products.
Furthermore, the general public is to note that one of the products is imported from Nigeria by Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, whiles the other is from Togo and was imported by Addra Sari Limited.
The Authority therefore wants the general public to disregard the speculation on social media as indicated above.
