The Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has travelled to Mauritius to attend its National Day Celebrations.
He is expected to spend three days in Mauritius and return to Ghana on Monday March 13, 2017.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Minister for Communications Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Business Development Ibrahim Awal; Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) Reginald Grant and other government officials accompanied the vice president.
The vice president, who will be the special guest will hold bilateral talks with President of Mauritius Her Excellency Mrs Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and other Mauritius government officials.
The meetings are aimed at strengthening ties between the two countries.
The Vice President is also expected to attend a Breakfast Business Meeting hosted by the Mauritian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, in Collaboration with the Board of Investment.
