A Former Northern Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Haruna Tia popularly called Harunbees has been enskinned regent of Zosali, a farming community in the Savelugu Municipality of the Northern region.
The current regent succeeds the skin from the former Member of the Council of State Naa Thomas Tia Sulemana who occupied the skin for decades until his death early this month after a short illness.
The regent is mandated by the customs and traditions of the people of the area, to facilitate the performance of the performance of the final funeral rites of the late chief before a substantive chief is gotten.
First female daughter of the demised chief, Sanatu Tia Sulemana as required by tradition was also enskinned as Pagkpang to provide assistance to the newly enskinned regent.
