
The lawyer known as “Barrister” Chris Elisha was exposed when he had a difficulty moving a motion to vary the bail conditions for an accused person he was supposed to represent in Ojo Magistrate court.
The Ojo police in Lagos are currently interrogating a fake lawyer who reportedly had been practicing for the past fifteen years until he was arrested on Tuesday, February 6.
The lawyer known as “Barrister” Chris Elisha was exposed when he had a difficulty moving a motion to vary the bail conditions for an accused person he was supposed to represent in Ojo Magistrate court.
According to yabaleftonline.ng, another lawyer by name, Barrister Nnamdi Samuel Nwafor then questioned the professional qualification of his ‘learned colleague’, saying the very procedure “Barrister” Chris Elisha had been struggling with would have been an easy task for even a first year law student.

Barrister Nnamdi Samuel Nwafor then engaged the suspect in an argument which got the attention of other lawyers and police officers on duty at the court who took “Barrister” Chris Elisha to the Ojo police station for questioning.
During interrogation, the fake lawyer disclosed that he was only a” charge and bail lawyer” with specialisation in corporate law rather than litigation.
Chris Elisha claimed to have studied law at Eastern Ukrainian University, in the former Soviet Union, but could not produce any certificate for a proof.
