Disclaimer: Flagstaff House denies statement Bawumia is in the UK for medical treatment

The alleged fake statement was read on Joy FM's Newsfile programme Saturday.

Th Director of Communications at the Flagstaff House, Eugene Arhin, has denied issuing statement claiming that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been flown to the United Kingdom (UK) for medical treatment.

The alleged fake statement was read on Joy FM's Newsfile programme Saturday.

The disclaimer put out by Mr Arhin however did not deny reports that the Vice President has been flown to the UK for treatment.

He only denied writing the statement.

"Disclaimer: I have not authored or issued any statement indicating that the Vice President has travelled to the UK. It’s fake. Thank you," he said.
