The Black Starlets defeated their Nigerian counterparts 2-0 to book a place in the last four of the 2017 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana have qualified for the quarter finals of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup after they brushed aside Niger in the round of 16.
Eric Ayiah and Richard Danso scored the two goals of the game to push Ghana through to the last eight.
It was a piece of fabulous performance from the two times champions of the world and should have scored more than the two goals, yet they managed just two past their opponent.
Ghana controlled the game and passed well but they struggled to get the ball past the iron clad defence of the Nigeriens in the early minutes. It took Eric Ayiah who dribbled his marker in the 18-yard box and was brought down to hand the Starlets the first chance to go in front. The skipper of the team, Ayiah stepped up to finish it off perfectly on the stroke of half time.
After the interval the Black Starlets continued from where they left it off and exerted their dominance again.
They created several opportunities and even had a penalty, but Eric Ayiah who has three goals in the competition had his spot kick saved by Khaled.
Richard Danso who came on from the bench lit the stadium with his thunderbolt to put the game beyond the reach of Niger in the 90 minute.
