Agenda 2020: NDC embarks on unity walk in Tamale ahead of election 2020

Loyal Supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will embark on a unity walk at Tamale in the Northern Region on Saturday, September 9, 2017 as part of the party's strategies ahead of the 2020 elections.

The walk is part of the party's move to ensure peace and unity in the party and capture from the ryling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The aftermath of the NDC’s defeat has been characterized by uncertainties, with a committee being set up to investigate the reasons for their loss.

However, the committee has presented its final report with former President John Mahama calling for calm, insisting that with hard work of the NDC, it will soon be back in power.

 

The cause of the NDC’s loss is multifaceted, whiles issuing a rallying call on all supporters and members to help strengthen the party’s base.

Most party members have been faced with the uncertainty of whether Mahama was still interested in contesting on the party's ticket come 2020.

The unity walk which has been scheduled to take off from the Jubilee Park from 7am will also provide an avenue for the supporters interact and socialise with each their leaders.
