Several individuals and corporate bodies have shown their love in cash and kind to Kumasi Asante Kotoko, following the fatal accident they suffered last week
Kumasi Asante Kotoko have received several donations from people both individuals and corporate bodies after the team got involved in a road accident when returning from a league game.
The accident has struck Ghanaian football fans deeply especially as it claimed the life of the team’s deputy Equipment Officer Thomas Asare Obeng.
Ghanaians have shown some love to the Asante Kotoko faithful and Pulse Sports Sports has compiled all the donations that have been made to the 23 times champions of Ghana.
Phar Rangers were the first to show their solidarity to Kumasi Asante Kotoko by donating GHC 2000 to the team on last week Thursday morning.
StarTimes TV, who have the rights to televise the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup have also donated GHC 10,000 to Asante Kotoko.
Inter Allies have donated an undisclosed amount to the Porcupine Warriors.
Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah and the KMA have also given Ghc5,000 each to the team after the accident
Meanwhile, Holland Insurance has assured Kotoko players that there is an accident package for them and that the club's contract is active.
Kotoko Faithfuls, which is one of the supporters wings of the club has given Ghc5,000 to support medical bills of victims of last week Wednesday's accident.
A package from PFAG and their partners SIC, awaits the injured Kotoko players as they are part of the professional footballers association.
The Youth a nd Sports Ministry has also given the club Ghc10,000 following Wednesday's tragic incident.
Accra Hearts of Oak have donated GHC 6,000 to their archrivals Asante Kotoko after they suffered a fatal road accident last week Wednesday.
Goil are the latest to show their love for the accident hit Asante Kotoko by donating a GHC 10,000. The presentation of the cheque was made by the Public Relations Manager of the Company, Robert Kyere together with the GOIL’s Zonal manager in the middle belt, Stephen Ernest Asare at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital
The Donation was received by the coach of the team Steve Pollack who is recuperating from his injuries, club captain Amos Frempong and Accra Representative, Boakye Agyeman.
It is understood that individuals like K.K Sarpong, Chief Executive of the Tema Oil Refinery, Yaw Osarfo Marfo, the Senior Minister, etc have all contributed in cash and kind to help wipe away tears from the Porcupine Warriors.
