Coach Kwesi Appiah is not expected to make too many changes, however, some new faces should as well have a look in
The Black Stars of Ghana will face Mexico in an international friendly later on Wednesday, June 28, 2017.
Coach Kwesi Appiah made a huge statement in his in debut game – following his second coming – as the Black Stars made light work of Ethiopia, trouncing the Walias 5-0.

Only a few faces have been added to the squad that will face both Mexico and USA, with the move deemed necessary after the Ayew bothers (Andre and Jordan) as well as Daniel Amartey pulled out.
However, coach Kwesi Appiah is not expected to make too many changes, despite the fact that he would be tempted to give some new faces a look in.
So what is the probable line-up to expect when the Black Stars face El Tri?
In post, Richard Ofori is expected to keep the sticks once again following his display against Ethiopia. The Wa All Stars goalie has been knocking on the door of the Black Stars for quite some time now, and should be given a consistent run, especially with Adam Kwarasay out.

The back four is where there might be some tweaks. Afful Harrison has been Ghana’s first-choice right-back for the past four years, and this could be the chance to give Nicholas Opoku the chance to audition in that role. However, Afful –with his experience at the MLS – is largely expected to start.
Samuel Sarfo and Jonathan Mensah, who were both unused substitutes in Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Ethiopia could also be handed a rare start at the heart of defense. Lumor Abgenyenu, though, is expected to keep his place at left-back.
Thomas Agyepong – on the back of his impressive performance against the Walias – should be a sure bet to start on the left wing. Frank Acheampong could also be featuring on the opposite side, with Hearts of Oak lynchpin Winful Cobbinah partnering wonderkid Ebenezer Ofori at the centre of midfield.

With four striker in the Black Stars squad for the Mexico clash, Kwesi Appiah could be tempted into resting his skipper, Asamoah Gyan to see what the other attackers also bring to the fore.
Raphael Dwamena looks the most likely to be heading the attack after scoring a brace on his debut, and is expected to be supported upfront by the in-form David Accam.
Black Stars probable line-up against Mexico: (4-2-3-1)
