Prempeh College were too good for Mfantsipim School and Mawuli School at the #NSMQ2017 as they book their place in the finals.
This was a revenge encounter for Prempeh College. Mfantsipim eliminated them from the 2016 National Science and Science Quiz.
Mawuli School being in their first semifinals of the competition wouldn't have wanted to be in the centre of at revenge battle. But they were. Game on!
The boys in green started their semifinal battle with Mfantsipim School and Mawuli School on a high note as they claimed 30 points in the first round of the competition, sending their rivals into prayer mood. Mfantsipim School and Mawuli School accumulated 19 and 18 points respectively.
The second round saw Mfanstipim School rise to the occasion but failed to catch Prempeh College’s lead as the Seniors continued to lead after round 2 with a 4-point difference.

Prempeh College claimed a perfect score in the Problem of the Day and held their grounds in the final round of the semifinal tie to win the contest and make it to the final of the National Science and Maths Quiz for the second time in three years.
At the end of the contest, Mawuli School had 43 points, Mfantsipim School had 49 points with Prempeh College winning with 55 points. Sarfo-Ansah Wonder and Daniel Osei Badu represented the school from Kumasi.
Prempeh College is the second school to make it to the final this year after Adisadel College booked their place.
