The deputy skipper of the Black Stars has expressed he is a devoted Muslim after joining scholars to recite the holy Quaran as part of the activities to mark the Ramadan.
Andre Ayew enjoyed the company of Islamic scholars and Hon. Boniface Abubakar Saddick, the Minister for Zongo Development and Inner city, as they ended annual Qur’anic recitations in the holy month of Ramadan at the Nima Mosque.
The 27-year-old who wants divine blessings from Allah in the Holy month of Ramadan has been involved in majority of the rituals during this period to feel fulfilled spiritually before joining his team West Ham United for pre-season.

Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew had earlier paid a surprise visit to Muslim brothers at the Nima mosque on Friday to worship with them and also donated some food items and the former has subsequently crowned it with the annual Qur’anic recitations.
Leadership of the mosque led them through intercessory prayers after the landmark prayer gathering.
Meanwhile the duo have been excused from the Black Stars squad to face USA and Mexico in two successive friendlies in the United States.
