Ghanaian dance hall superstar, Stonebwoy lost a second time at the BET Awards as Nigeria's Wizkid was announced the winner of the 'Best International Act - Africa' at the 2017 edition of the award scheme.
Even though the main award ceremony, being held in Los Angeles, United States, the winners in some categories including the 'Best International Act - Africa' are announced prior to the event.
The Best International Act award is handed at a private ceremony which seeks to recognize artistes from Africa and Europe, and is held the night before the main event.
Stonebwoy got his second nomination for the award in this year's event alongside other African giants like Mr. Eazi, AKA, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo, Tekno, Davido, as well as eventual winner, Wizkid.
Wizkid, has enjoyed a career boost in 2017 following collaborations with "Take Care" star, Drake; Chris Brown and his trending song "Daddy Yo" featuring Ghana's Efya.
Stonebwoy, who only recently got married to his wife, Dr. Louisa Ansong, took to microblogging social network, Twitter, to congratulate his Nigerian counterpart on the win.
He tweeted, "Congrats to [Wizkid] On the Win".
Stonebwoy added that it was a "well-deserved win" for Wizkid.
The Ghanaian international continued to post a short video of his rehearsal towards the performance on stage at the BETX event.
