Abedi Pele says he is focused on making Nania FC a formidable side capable of winning trophies
Ghana legend, Abedi Ayew ‘Pele’ believes taking a break from the management of Nania FC has had a toll on the performance of the club, insisting he is now focused on taking the Division One side to higher heights.
Abedi was coach of Nania FC when the club defeated Asante Kotoko to lift the 2010/11 FA Cup.

But despite being known for producing talents Nania FC has failed to build upon that FA Cup triumph, with the club struggling to qualify to the Ghana Premier League.
And Abedi believes not committing much time towards the management of the club has proved costly.
“Every team at a point in time goes through some turbulence and Nania is of no exception,” the former Black Stars captain told StarrSports.
“I haven’t committed enough time to the everyday management of the second tier side and that is taking a toll on its performance in the Division One League.”

Some Black Stars players, including the likes of Rahim Ayew, Ahmed Barusso and Razak Brimah all came through the ranks at Nania FC, and Abedi insists the club is focused on unearthing more of such talents.
“We now have to concentrate on scouting for young able players and building a stronger side that will make us trophy challengers again.”
Nanian FC was formed in 1998 by Abedi Pele, and the club currently being bankrolled by the Ghana legend.
