Boateng originally signed a one-year contract, but extended his stay with the Spanish outfit after signing for three more years.
The former AC Milan playmaker scored 10 goals in his debut La Liga season to help Las Palmas to a 14th-place finish.
And it appears the midfielder’s outputs have been duly recognized, as he was named in the EA Sports La liga team of the season.
Although Boateng did no make the starting eleven, he made the reserves team together with the likes of Real Madrid’s Isco and Sevilla’s N’Zonzi.
The first team, however, included notable names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Toni Kroos. Whiles Neymar, Greizmann and Marcelo also made the reserves.
