The Black Satellites will face Mali in the final of the 2017 Africa U-17 Championship on Sunday
Ghana will face the defending champions of the Africa U-17 Nations Cup in a make or break affair in the final of this year’s championship at the Stade De Agondje on Sunday.
The national male U-17 football team started the competition on a bright, scoring nine goals in their opening two games- 4-0 and 5-0 against Cameroon and Gabon respectively to send a big caution to the other participants that they were in the tournament for business.

However, they were prevented from scoring in their final group A game against Guinea and were also held to a goalless draw by Niger in the semi-finals, yet they survived the scare and won 6-5 on penalties to book a date in the final.
Whereas Mali began the competition slowly, they settled for a goalless draw in their opening group match, before edging Niger 2-1 and secured qualification with an emphatic 6-1 victory against Angola in their final group B tie.
Mali who had peaked reaching the semi-finals cruised to a 2-0 win against Guinea to progress to the final.

Eric Ayiah is a joint top-scorer of the tournament with four goals, however he wasted several opportunities against Niger and threw away his penalty kick during the shootout.
