The suspects, only identified as Sani and Michael were said to have stolen the animal and handed it over to one Aditalma Benjamin to slaughter and prepare for cooking.
The police administration has vowed to take action against two police officers for stealing a goat belonging to their superior, Chief Inspector Alhaji Abubakar Saliki a former station commander at the Assin Breku police station.
The suspects, only identified as Sani and Michael were said to have stolen the animal and handed it over to one Aditalma Benjamin to slaughter and prepare for cooking.
Reports say residents informed the children of the Chief Inspector that Aditalma Benjamin was preparing the animal after a search was mounted for it.
Benjamin, upon his arrest, confirmed that Sani and Michael asked him to prepare the animal.
He said some of the other police officers had their share of the meat.
The Assin Fosu divisional police commander, Chief Supt. Henry Bacho said that the two officers will be facing disciplinary action as the case has been forwarded to the Central regional commander.
