Ghana's Favorite European Teams in Football

The English and Spanish leagues have the largest football fanbase in Ghana. This aspect is despite Ghanaians playing for different clubs in the top-flight stage.

1. Manchester United - England

The Red Devils are a favorite among most football lovers worldwide, and their long history of success plays a part in this aspect.

• Lionel Messi

These legends have not only influenced Ghanaians to support the team but also inspired many kids to start playing the sport.

5. Real Madrid - Spain

Last on our list is the other half of the El-Classico teams, who gained most of their Ghanaian fans since Zidane's days and after Christiano Ronaldo joined them.

Therefore you can expect any non-Barcelona and Messi fanatic to be supporting the Los Blancos side. Michael Essien and other African stars have also played for the team, thus influencing fans from his home country.
