Rains damage properties at Akrofrom

Torrential rains caused extensive damage to properties at Akrofrom in the Techiman Municipality last Saturday.
Roofing of houses, school buildings and some structures were all ripped by the downpour, which started around 20:00 hours.
Mr Francis Kyere, a victim, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that about 50 houses were affected by the rains.
He said rooms were flooded and personal belongings destroyed and appealed to the Government to come to the aid of the community members.
Mr Kyere added that the affected people had since been perching with close friends and relatives.
