There is a countdown towards the much-awaited Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA) set to come off on March 22, at the Kempinski Hotel, with over 30 entries coming in from various beverage companies in the country.
The Awards, in its third year, aims at recognizing outstanding beverage companies excelling in their various specialities.
Throughout February, event organisers invited public nominations for the Awards.
At the end of the period, the public has been asked to vote for their choice of Product of the Year Award from a list of the top seven brands who were successful in the screening process.
Speaking on the nominations turned in for the awards, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance, Ernest Boateng said, “I am already thrilled about the level of online and offline engagements this particular edition has generated. We have moved a step ahead, I can confidently say.
“The special thing about this edition is the encouragement of the public participation apart from the input of our jury which is a standard practice we have with GBA. It matters to us that we have involved the public since our beverages end up on their tables anyway.”
He said as organisers they are looking forward to a spectacular night and good interaction, great fun and a celebration of good work done.
Last year, Guinness Ghana Limited emerged top winner when they walked away with the Product of the Year and Beer of the Year awards.
Ghana Beverage Awards is in partnership with the Consumer Protection Agency, Food Research Institute, Food and Beverage Association of Ghana, Ghana Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture, Ghana Drinking Bar Operators Association.
