Sixty-seven learners in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region capital, have passed out from a one-year literacy and skills development programme funded and spearheaded by Engage Now Africa (ENA), a non-governmental organisation.
The event, which took place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bantama two weeks ago was chaired by Elder Isaac Kwabena Agyei.
He challenged beneficiaries of the programme to put the skills they have acquired during their lessons to good use.
Elder Agyei also encouraged the graduands to market the products they have developed during skills development lessons in order to earn some income.
ENA for many years has been providing free literacy services for adults in eight regions of the country. At least 7,000 adults have benefited from the NGO's adult literacy and skills development programme.
