Two journalists of The Multimedia Group have been nominated for honours at the 2018 MTN heroes of Change finale which comes off Friday.
Seth Kwame Boateng and Joseph Opoku Gakpo are among three others who are to be celebrated alongside the 10 finalists for this year.
The Heroes of Change is an initiative by Telecommunication network, MTN which seeks to honour individuals who make a positive difference in their communities.
MTN introduced a new category to the Heroes of Change awards known as “Special Awards”.
The 'Special Awards' is an initiative which seeks to honour individuals who use their position and influence to make a positive difference in the lives of others in their community.
These include musicians, actors, media personalities among others.
Seth Kwame Boateng produced the Documentary ‘Next To Die’ which focused on the deaths of babies and mothers at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
His Exposé resulted in the construction of an ultramodern mother and baby unit at KATH.

Joseph Opoku Gakpo, a developmental journalist with The Multimedia Group travels across the country and reports stories about the underdeveloped communities and the plight of the underprivileged in society.

The other nominees are actresses, Yvonne Nelson who founded the Glaucoma Foundation and Yvonne Okoro, founder of Elizabeth Home, which focuses on providing facilities for the underprivileged in society.
Musician Okyeame Kwame is also among the nominees for his foundation which seeks to sensitize the public on the dangers of Hepatitis B.
The prize money for the ultimate winner of Heroes of Change is GH¢100,000 and three others will be adjudged category winners with a prize of GH¢30,000 to be invested in the projects.
The six others will walk with GH¢10,000 also for their projects.
The programme comes off at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
