Traditional authorities in Mo, in the Brong Ahafo say their installation of Sampson Adre as the Paramount chief for the area was accorded with due process.
Sources close to the traditional authorities say the ceremony was without incident and had the blessing of all who matter.
A member of another family claiming to have rights to the stool, Nana Adjei Kintor, held a press conference last week, advising the installation be disregarded.
He claimed there had been a petition pending at the Regional House of Chiefs prohibiting the coronation.
But Gyaasehene, Nana Tebalakala, known in private life as Dr David Mensah, says the claims have no basis.
According to him, the said Nana Kintor has no lineage to the traditional area.
"He is not a chief, he doesn’t sit with us [chiefs],” Nana Tebalaka told Myjoyonline.com.
