Joy FM’s flagship family and relationship-based programme, Home Affairs, has honoured ace television Host Nana Adwoa Awindor as its ‘Mum of the Year’.
The Development Queen Mother of Afigya-Kwabre district in the Ashanti Region was honoured with a citation highlighting her contribution to the media space, and for her tireless and passionate advocacy for women and children.
The citation describing the Queen mother as a ‘believer of beautiful and thriving families’ praised her for never relenting ‘whenever you are called upon no matter how late or how early to contribute to making homes on Home Affairs’.

Emotional, shocked and overwhelmed, the host of the popular ‘Greetings From Abroad’ show, expressed her utmost gratitude to the host Edem Knight Tay for the honour.
“I really appreciate it. This is one of the most amazing things, especially because of how it came by…Thank you to Joy Fm, and Multimedia and of course 'Home Affairs’," she said.
In addition to the citation, the mother of award-winning sultry singer Afia also received a hefty hamper put together by Unilever, one of the sponsors of the show.
The bubbly presenter also went home with a well-packaged box of colourful and beautifully woven kente.

The show which was celebrating mothers in the media space ahead of the Mothers Day celebration on Sunday also hosted actress Vicky Zugah.
She shared interesting stories of juggling public attention and motherhood, especially to a teenage daughter.
Zuga was also the recipient of a beautiful hamper.
