After pulling off another mammoth party at the SOHO Bar at the Marina Mall Friday night, it is fair to say that Joy FM definitely runs the City! #JoyFMrunstheCity!
Joy FM has for a very long time pulled an impressive string of events cementing its place as the ultimate station with the masterstroke when it comes to providing on air and off air entertainment.
This year alone, Joy FM filled up the Silver Star Towers on two occasions – the 90s Jam and Y2K Party. Now the SOHO Bar felt Joy FM's presence in a grand style.
The venue was the host of the maiden edition of the Joy FM Corporate Jam, an event designed to help hundreds of corporate executives unwind and have fun.
After the week’s stress, one surely deserves some break. A well-planned break to help one to relax and make new friends in a holistic atmosphere was ideal. And the Joy FM Corporate Jam provided the perfect atmosphere.
Right from 7 pm, the venue was fully packed! Management of SOHO Bar admitted that they’ve never seen that kind of crowd at their place before. They were simply overwhelmed!
And why won’t they when you have the best party squad storming their beautiful hideout to do what they do best – give patrons a party of a lifetime.
Sammy Forson and DJ Black handled the turntables while Lexis Bill was on the mic charging the venue up!
The DJs dished out a splendid repertoire, back to back hit songs from new to old school, hiplife, hip-hop, highlife and R&B songs.
With this array of hit songs oozing from the speakers at the venue, even CEOs couldn’t resist the temptation of hitting the dancefloor to show off their dancing skills.
At one point, the Managing Director of SIC, Stephen Oduro led the charge for a special Akwaaba dance session.
Also at the venue were Gayheart Mensah, External Affairs Director of Vodafone Ghana; Albert Biga, CEO of Zoobashop; Doreen King, Corporate Affairs Manager of Bank of Africa; Dela Dzidonu, Head of Marketing and Communications of First National Bank; business mogul, Ibrahim Mahama and a host of others. There were also staff of several other companies including GLICO and UMB.
The event was so charged that patrons screamed their lungs out and sung along their favourite songs.
Even Michael Bruce commented on Facebook that: “Is it lack of events in the capital or the guys at Joy FM have the 411 to organise events well? Corporate Jam is packed!”
After a fun-filled night, patrons requested that Joy FM organises the Corporate Jam at least once every month. And yes Joy FM listened, the party has come to stay!
