A campaign to create awareness against sexual abuse in schools has begun.
The campaign is dubbed Coalition Against Sexual Abuse (CASA) and it is championed by members of the CASA campaign and their partner youth organisations- OdodowGH and Drama QueensGH.
The campaign comes in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment of students of the Ejisuman SHS by their teachers.
The CASA campaign has released two campaign videos in English and Ga with a direct message to teachers who have a habit of sexually abusing, harassing or extorting sex in exchange for grades and fees to stop.
“Time’s up!” they point out.
The campaign organisers including Esther Armah, Bridget Otoo are set to kick start series of Twitter Chats. They will begin on Thursday 12th April 7pm to 8pm.
Follow the hashtag: #TimesUpGH for all details. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month & CASA campaign is using the Twitter chats to focus attention on the sexual harassment crisis in our classrooms.
