She observed that “It has produced outstanding Ghanaian women with exemplary leadership qualities and capabilities. Miss Ghana beauty pageant was formed to empower our young women from across the nation to help sustain our socioeconomic development.”
“For 60 years, though the management of the brand has changed, the core values of the brand remains, which is beauty with a purpose,” Inna Mariam Patty, who won the 2004 edition of the pageant added.
She was pleased with the commitments and support the pageant has received from various governments over the years.
“Our current President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has given his special blessing for this year’s event…we are eternally grateful,” she said.
Outlining the plan for this year’s pageant, the Exclusive Events CEO said they will embark on a 10-regional tour where five contestants will be selected per region and an additional 10 from an online campaign.
The 60 finalists will be pruned down to 20 for the finale on October 7.
