The incident is said to have happened in the early hours of this Wednesday morning.
According to Joy News correspondent Anass Sabit, another person who was in the building when it collapsed has been hospitalised.
The deceased is said to be the security man looking after the construction site. There are fears more people may have been trapped under the rubble but the reporter said the Assembly is yet to remove the debris to ascertain this.
