Kasoa Circuit Court jailed a man 15 years, and remanded another, for attacking and robbing a man of GH¢1,200, at Gomoa Kwabena-Andoh, near Kasoa, in the Central Region.
Accused, Abubakar Sidick, 18, pleaded guilty, and was convicted to 15 years’ imprisonment, whilst Ibrahim Sunde, 20, who pleaded not guilty, was remanded to prisons custody to re-appear on October 10, 2019.
Presenting the facts of the case Inspector Peter Amponsah, said on September 23, at about 2a.m, the accused, Abubakar Sidick and Ibrahim Sunde, armed with knives went to complainant Abubakar Omaro’s house, at Gomoa Kwabena-Andoh while he was asleep.
He said they broke into his room and threatened to kill him, adding that they robbed the complainant of GH¢1,200.
The prosecutor said the case was reported and the accused were arrested and charged for the offences of conspiracy to rob and robbery.
